Hot Season brings miserable hot wet wind from the sea

Much like the Texas Gulf, onshore hot season wind smothers Bangkok with heat and humidity. Even at the coolest time of the day the saturated air from the gulf to the south is close to 29C (surface sea temp, red), so sweat at body temperature will provide little cooling.

Just when we learn that doing things to "detoxify" your body is a medical myth, we now have to worry about mephitic air! 

Naaw, just kidding. This is something that Ben Franklin cooked up way back in the old days, with the result that his friend John Adams almost froze his ass one night in New Jersey on his way to sign the Declaration of Independence. Never mind, my Boston mother believed it anyway!

According to the Thai Meteorological Department, this weeks fresh northerly breezes and rare thunderstorms will yield to an oppressive wave of heat, up to 44 degrees C, during the coming holidays of Songkram. Nice while it lasted, with night temperatures plunging to the high 70s F.

True tropical paradise: cool green and lush village morning today in southern Thailand. Vs. dessicated hot Isaan last week. Temp this morning here in Nakorn Sri Thammarat only 28 v. 30 up north. Difference: year round rain here creates real jungle. View from my bedroom at wife's house.

Rubber price in drastic decline but have't heard a complaint yet. Most of their focus on kids.
